PROJECTS

The main focus of this section is Opening the Doors. One of the aims of the project is to encourage museums to undertake small 'do-able' projects with young people, which have a good chance of success.

Click here to read about the museums and projects involved in Opening the Doors.

You can read about other projects we have worked on with young people outside of formal education, including Off the Wall and Lloyds TSB, which have led to the Opening the Doors project.

We have also included information on other national and international projects involving work with young people outside of formal education, independently of Opening the Doors.

In the reports section you will find evaluation material drawn from past projects, which should provide useful information with regards to working with young people outside of formal education.

We are eager to showcase other museums' work with young people around the UK and internationally, so please do - contact us with any information you think we could include in this section.

Dan Packe, who worked on the Represent project, gave a fantastic presentation at the recent Opening the Doors Seminar. If you would like to get an insight into his experiences working with young people, then please click here to download his powerpoint presentation.
