We Are Here - young refugees & asylum seekers project update
Following an amazing response to our call for partners last year, we are now working to set up regional partnerships with museums interested in developing the We Are Here project. Opening the Doors is currently researching and writing funding applications, and establishing regional networks of interested museums. Museums and Young Refugees - Call for Partners
Opening the Doors is looking for six museums to work with on a series of projects for young refugees. The idea is to work with two museums a year, over three years, to create a permanent exhibition in each museum. Alongside the project work, Opening the Doors will commission a photographer and a writer to produce a permanent record of the project work. Opening the Doors will be researching and writing funding applications over the Winter with a view to the work beginning late Spring 2005. For more information please contact us

Opening the Doors, Museums and Young People Report
Our third report has just been published and is available upon request. This report marks the end of this three-year project and summarises the achievements and experiences of the museums involved. We will automatically send delegates who attended our seminars/conference a copy of the Museums and Young People report. Second year reports are also available upon request.Alongside our work we are keen to raise the profile of other projects museums are undertaking with young people outside of formal education.
